Research For Ancillary Products : Previous Student Analysis

Today, in class we were looking at digipaks and advertisements from the previous years, here is one that has good and bad flaw.

The front of the digipak picture is very simple with the font below the face which is quite effective because it is not covering the face. The back of the digipak is also simple with a similar font which it show connection between them, however a flaw is that the bar code and the production label company and all the other bit and bob are quite squash together which it seem odd. Another flaw is that when you look inside the total colour scheme and layout is differ from the front and back digipak. Furthermore, in the advertisement the same repetitive colour scheme is the same which show it is linked together.

I think this advert and digipak look really professional because the picture that is used here is very simple but effective at the same time. The uses of the colour scheme emphasis the artist and the genre of the music. The font is quite simple and very easy to read.  They have included everything such as the production label, name of the artist ( big and bold ) and the album and the bar code and it is arranged that enhances so that it look professional. This has given our group some inspiration that for our digipak and advert it should be simple but very effective to catch the audience attention.
