Advertisements That Relate To My Genre

Digipaks That Relate To My Genre

Ok so the genre of my artist could come under: Dupstep/DnB
To be honest I have found it quite hard to find digipaks under these genres as they are mostly downloaded and have only a small selection in store (which haven't used digipaks -__- )
so yeah I though I would focus more of the covers.

Caspa:

On Caspa's cover we see a picture of him DJing stright away creating an image for him, we know he's a DJ producing dance music. The tape across his mouth is clearfully used to draw attenrtion to the album name 'Everybody's Talking. Nobody's Listening!' he's said this basicly means, shut up a listen to the music, although it could have many other meanings. He's stuck to a colour scheme using bright greens and blues against a dark background, representing the bright lights and colours seen in clubs/raves where his music would be played.

Shy FX & T Power:

Shy FX's album has created a really urban looking album using speakers and music signs to symbolise tower blocks and building.. a city full of music. The font looks like its done using stencils and graffiti yet again creating and urban image. This graffiti effect is used again with splashes of bright colours across a neutral background. These bright yellows, blues and pink are used just like on Caspa's album to reflect the dance music.

Sub Focus:

Sub Focus's album uses very clear bold font following typical conventions of CD covers. The design is very simple! with just colourful lines across a plain black background. These colourful line however represents the genere of music just like the other two albums I looked at. The smudged neon colours look like moving glow sticks at a rave.

Research For Ancillary Products : 3 Digipaks That Relate To Our Genre

Research For Ancillary Products : 3 Advertisements That Relate To Our Genre

The reason why i chose these artist is because first of all Tinie Tempah is quite similar to S.I.P our artist this is that our artist is also from the UK underground and now made a debut album that is viral and very popular. He has high tempo music and hip&hop which is what our artist trying to get at the wider audience.

Skream is a dubstep/uk garage which is what our genre is about. He also just release his debut album Skream! and following Outside the box! A lot of his music is quite high tempo which we can relate too.

And finally Rusko is dubstep genre. He is quite similar to Skream. Our artist is basically a mixture of these artist put together and we will improve our advertisements way better to get that really high marks.

3 ads that relate to my genre

I chose these artists because they both cross over into other genre's which is the same idea I have for Group 23's artist, S.I.P

Tine Tempah, just like S.I.P is an artist that came from Uk underground and now has made a debut ablum that has been extremely commercial and popular. He has dance and pop songs which I also see our artist doing within his album in order to appeal to a wider audience

Wretch 32 has brilliant word play and within his videos he uses the scene of his roots, Tottenham & Hackney, which is what we did in our video only with Hackney & Islington. Wretch 32 is a brilliant artist with a great style of both deeper more conciousness and fun and excitement within his songs like Fogiveness and Unorthadox. I see our artist adopting a similar style to both these artists and obviously we will improve the advertisement in order to get Max Marks

Photoshop Parctise

In todays lesson we had a chance to play around with photoshop, and try to create a digipak for an artist (Dan). Heres what I came up with:

I tried to follow the conventions of the digipaks i'v looked at. Using a basic colour scheme, simple writing, and all the basic information in the right place. I fount photoshop really exsiting although very confusing, so many bottons and bits that I dont know what to use, but hopefully i'll get used to it a create some decent work :)
