The original Blind Faith video's had a narrative where they went to a pub and waited to find out where the warehouse rave was. However, our idea is different as we have planned to film the video in several different locations such as shannon's house, and different famous locations in London. We want to film shots from different angles and use the conventions that would be used in normal video's. We dont have much of a narrative but we have great idea's for this song. Our lighting will be different and we will try to have lip syncing throughout the whole song.

Original Song of Blind Faith
As you can see this video does not follow the normal conventions video's would have. The lighting is different in this video, as the video seems to have a home made video appeal. It doesn't look like it is a proffessional film that has been filmed with loads of money. The idea is simple and original, a group of guys going o a warehouse rave. It has a long introduction and gets interupted by a conversation before the first chorus. The costumes and the technology (Arial Phone and chunky TV), used in the video look like they are older making this video look like it was shot years ago. I' not sure if this was perhaps done deliberatly. I feel it may be done deliberatly, as all their other video's are not shot in this kind of home made video style. some of the shots are fuzzy, this could suggest the camera it was filmed on was of poor quality or might simply be old footage. The rave scene has alot of colour in and shows everyone having a good time. I noticed there was only a small amount of lip syncing throughout the whole video, which was quite interesting to see, as you would not normally see this kind of thing. The camerawork is wonkey. For example the scenes in the car are not sraight, this tells me a tripod was not used. This film shows tracking of the boys going to the pub and then to the rave in the car and then inside the actual warehouse. There does not seem to be any teenagers in the video. They all look 20 and older, like shots of the old men in the pub etc). They also showed a clip of the poilce at the beggining hacking phones to know the whereabouts of these warehouse raves, I thought this was good. It makes you feel like your on the boys side.

Home screen of chaseandstatus.co.uk:

Chase and Status have loads on their website that promotes their brand image and songs. On their home screen alone they have gigs dates, videos, photos and news updates.
Their logo of course! A pic of a crown with an English bulldog on top.
The small video box starts playing automatically as soon as you enter the page and continuously plays their music videos in a playlist mixed in with short behind the scene clips and adverts for their products. There is a link below that takes you to a gallery of the videos to choose from.

At the side of the home screen is a list of upcoming tour dates. Straight away encouraging people to go see them live. As we know, with the state of the music industry, tour sells are more important then ever. The news feed also encourages people to go to their gigs, with links to tour videos, and mentions of awards. For example they have been nominated for 2 festival awards 'Best Headline Performance' and 'Anthem Of The Summer'. After seeing them headline the dance tent at V Festival this summer I believe they defiantly deserve this!!

Like many other artists they have a members area on the website. This is where fans can leave comments, have discussions, post pictures and videos and get exclusive content such as wallpapers, downloads etc. The idea is to make fans feel appreciated and keep them interested.
Some pics from there website:
These pics really set an image for the artist we see Chase in a polo top, jeans and top hat holding a guitar, showing hes a young stylish guy with a modern mod sort of style, that can obviously play the guitar. We also see pics of MC's and vocalist that feature on there tracks making there gigs look really fun and exciting. Pretty much the whole website and brand image is about creating an amazing live experience that you don't want to miss out on!
