Here are just a few of the main ones:
Pieces by Chase & Status ft. Plan B
There was two main element to this video that we where inspired by. Firstly the 'party', we like how this was filmed, using a handheld camera in the style of a home video, often wonky and fast paced, to exaggerate the chaos of the moment. Secondly we like the part where Plan B is walking down the street, continuos fast paced edits that fit in with the music and make his face flicker. This expresses all his emotions of anger, confusion, hurt, and a messed up head basically. Although our street scene might not be exsactly the same it will defiantly have similarities.
Sheila by Jamie T
We liked the simplicity of this video. A man walking down by the river filmed from lots of different angles. We plan to do the same sort of thing for part of our music video. Ours would also be set by the River Themes at night, as we felt this would be a really effective setting with all the lights on at night.
Bass Down Low by DEV
For our party scene we plan to use some shots very similar to ones in this video. Such as when DEV is in the middle of the crowd dancing and singing with people round her. Only difference is we want a darker lighting, different editing pace, and of course instead of DEV it will be Lashmi. We also like the close up shots of random people dancing, and plan to do the same.
Lastly, we found an effect that we got all excited about and defiantly want to use! It would basicaly involve merging two shots together, as we want a close up of Lashmi's faces, shadowing over a wide shot of the crowd at the party. So her face would be transparent but we still be able to see it (Hope that actually made sense :s ) We found an example of it used in Jennifer Lopez's On The Floor:
