I think I learned a lot from our feedback of the music video and digipack, the reaction to our music video which has been kindly put up by fellow group member Isla along with out audience feedback outside the cinema, we can see that the video was enjoyable. The different elements that our narrater (artist) conveyed to our target audience were mostly understood and highly appreciated. The party scene were said to be realisitc (this is a problem we were worried about and we are happy that we have audience feedback to show we solved the problem) The edits opacity shots, and jump cuts were said to be very entertaining and obviously this is a key convention of music videos in order to capture an audiences attention so we are happy we did that. Micky also really like the editing and seems suprised we pulled it of so well and to Micky we say (all we need is is the tutorial from the the teachers and you and Marisa and leave the rest up to creativity, oh and thanks for the feedback) We were also told (on the constructive critism side) that we needed to vary our shots and there were too many medium shots, this was something we tried to incoporate during our verses however it was very difficult to track and stay close up without going out of focus or Isla bumping into things like shopboards or railings (a highlight of filming I must add). Lashmi's lipsinking was highly glorified (Go Lashmi!!!) The audience feedback video 7 needs to be watched because I cannot describe them, absolutely hilarious with there feedback but much appreciated. The picture from vimeo shows how many people view the video, I'm sure there were more views but im not aware if the viewcount is visable when the video is played via facebook. Overall our music video felt like a success.
My digipack I felt could have been improved however parallels to my music video were recognised thankfully, and I was relieved that my audience noted that it highly promotes the artist and makes the artist the centrepiece instead of featured around artwork and different designs that can draw the audience away from the artist.
What I've learnt is that we need to include more variety of shots, angles and steady lighting, even better planning so we compensate for any mishaps, and I clearer knowledge of Photoshop in order to be able to make more of an impression with my poster. I've also learnt (on th positive side) that using lots of shots, edits, transistions and locations captivate an audience. Using amplification can apply more to Teenagers than adults (unless we're talking about video's from Take That, they have amazing videos for all ages) and using your creativity to the highest degree alongside planning pays off
I think I've gotten a good reaction from my work with the digipack and our work as a group and I am extremely chuffed about it. Thank you audience and thank you Group 23
