Music Video Analysis

I think this songs by Lupe Fiasco Featuring Trey Songz is the perfect example of a music video. It doesn't completely objectify women in a way that they have to be half naked, however it still uses the typical male dominate convention of having a girl as something of a male fantasy. In the video Lupe has the light skinned lady on his mind that we see in his slightly unbuttoned shirt. Throughout the video, we see her as a reoccurrence and/or a motif. Trey Songz as the featuring artist pop up in a few abstract scenes where the artist is in the background looking at a beautiful view. It uses amplification and makes the chorus a visual theme "I can't get you out of my head" and this same lady popping up everywhere Lupe goes. This video uses a lot of slow motion and fast edits, it also uses a lot of angle changes some really nice mise-en-scene that keeps your eyes glued and keeps you as an audience interested.
