Analysis of a music video i feel is the best example.

For my example of a really good music video, i feel Beyonce and Lady Gaga's 'Telephone' was a really good video. The reason why i thought this is because they are keeping the audience interested every second of the video. There are dancers in both the prison cell and the American diner. They use a lot of colour.  There are times when the music stops like in the cafe where everyone gets poisoned and dies. Also, where they are in the car and Beyonce says Gaga has been a very bad girl. They have put titles at the front of the video when it says "Telephone" and the Artists names. 

There are a number of different shot angles and the editing is great. There is a narrative structure. However, they were able to do this as they have the time and the money to do it. For my music video it would be hard to do a narrative story with short time and no props. Which is why it is not recommended to do a narrative video. There are various locations such as, the cell, the prison hall, the car, the kitchen, the cafe etc.

 

I particularly liked her cigarette shades and the Diet Coke in her hair, as this is really wierd and something like that has never been done before. Her dress is provocative, so it grabs male attention too.
