Laura Mulvey's Representation and my example and understanding of it

I understand Laura Mulvey's representation as trying to say in a world of male dominance females get objectified as figments of fantasy. This is done in a lot of hip hop and rap video's where men are singing and females are just either half naked and all over them or dancing in a strip club.

An example of this would be Akon and Eminem's Smack that

This clearly this video applies to Mulvey's theory and women are only used as an object of entertainment. 

Video's that go against this would be Your cooler than me by Mike Poisner

he uses he's video to make a point that a woman ignore his existants because she thinks he's cooler than him. This has no resemblance to Mulvey's theory because women are not the object of this video, its just a clear message without a derogatory treatment of women
